Hello, this is me, and this is all I really have to say about myself for the moment.  My name is Sarah and I’m 26 years old, currently living in Oakland, California.  Stick around and I’ll improve this page soon!

In the meantime, here are some things like I like to write about:

My experiences as a student abroad in Nantes, France (September 2010 – June 2011);

Cooking experiments;

Feats of great daring;

My life as an English language assistant through TAPIF in Nontron, France (October 2012 – April 2013);

Escapes into nature;

My travels around the world, including;

Coffee shops, bookstores, and fancy pastries;

Settling in to adulthood in Seattle, Washington.

  1. Hello Sarah!
    I will be a teaching assistant through TAPIF starting this October! I know you have experience with TAPIF. Additionally, I will be in Albi and saw that you lived there during the summer one year! There is little information out there about Albi and I was wondering if you could possibly get in touch with me to tell me about it at all! I hope to hear from you soon!! Thanks!

    1. Hi there Yahaira! I am unabashedly jealous that you’re just starting your tapif experience…and spending the year in Albi of all places! It really has a special place in my heart, and I’m really hoping that you will love it as much as I do. Please, don’t hesitate to ask me any questions. You can contact me by clicking the link at the top of the page! A bientôt!

  2. Hi Sarah! Thanks for following my blog! I see that you live in Seattle — so do I! Maybe we can meet up sometime and have a TAPIF reunion? It’d be cool to hear your experience too since you were in the same area!

    1. Hey Emily – a Seattle Tapif meet-up sounds great! Any opportunity to talk about petit beau village life is an opportunity I’d take! I’d be interested to hear about Tarbes, as I have only driven briefly through it. Please do contact me pour qu’on puisse se rencontrer!
