La Côte sauvage, pt.1

Over a month ago, I went on a nice little day trip, making four stops along la Côte sauvage at La Baule-Escoublac, Batz-sur-Mer, Guérande and La Brière.  D’accord?  On commence.

I’m not sure if La Baule really counts as being part of the saaavage coast, because it’s really anything but savage.  In fact, it’s actually a resort town with the longest sand beach in Europe, measuring twelve kilometers (thanks wikipedia).

Next up: Batz-sur-mer.  Yes, a much more savage coastline!  And thankfully, in France (and particularly in Brittany) many laws limit development on the coast so that the general public can enjoy its natural beauty.  Incredible!
